Choose an honest date range
A seven-day report is a useful starting point; a monthly report may reveal longer changes. Include partially observed days but label them as partial. No-record days must not be presented as zero hours of sleep.
Include useful context
Record age, species, breed, activity, medicines and recent routine changes. Add factual observations about appetite, toileting and behaviour. Avoid entering a diagnosis suggested by a sleep total.
Understand the summary
The report separates logged night sleep and naps and shows complete-day averages. It lists the longest uninterrupted segment and recorded awakenings. A timer still running is excluded from final report totals until you stop and check it.
Print or share carefully
Use Print for a paper copy or Download PDF for a file. Share PDF opens a compatible device share sheet; select WhatsApp if available. Otherwise download and attach the file manually. Pet details are included only in the file you choose to share.
Do not wait for a report in an emergency
If your pet is struggling to breathe, collapses or is hard to wake, seek veterinary help promptly. The report supports a conversation and does not replace an examination.
Educational guidance, not a diagnosis. Stillness is not always sleep. Missing observations are not zero sleep.
